Chinese Garden of Serenity

Good evening all of you happy ppl out there. I haven’t been blogging for a couple of days now, and that’s because me and my better half has once again been out there discovering more on this beautiful island.  As usual we ended up doing more then we planned in the first place but that’s the beauty of going on adventures. And with so many cities and places to see for free we decided to visit a place in Santa Lucija and the Chinese Garden of Serenity.

«Its situated in the south of Malta and been open for the public since 1997. The Chinese Gardens encourage visitors to walk around while roaming freely in their inner thoughts. The most important elements of the Chinese Garden of Serenity are rocks and water which creates a beautiful and very peaceful garden and also symbolizes yin and yang, life from birth to death. The garden has fountains, a zig zag formed corridors, bridges, different types of doors with their own specific meaning.«

The «Serenity Garden» in Santa Luċija , symbolizes life, birth to death. The fountain at the beginning of the garden is birth, with the water in the background symbolizing the mother, the water as if giving birth, the happiness of a new life. The beginning of childhood.IMG_1265

The corridor is in a zig-zag form that represents life’s windings and difficulties. Even the bridge zig-zags like the difficult bridges we cross in life. To remind us we are don’t face this active life on our won, the corridor is covered with the symbol of comfort.

To walk around here was really peaceful and you just exist…. So i will recommend this for everyone who appreciate chinese history and like to feel the yin and yang..

      1. Oh I definitely will 🙂 I have actually visited Malta before. I stayed in Valetta, it’s such a beautiful city with so much history and architecture. I really loved it there and the people are so nice and friendly 😘
